Has your education prepared you for the job market?
What do you have to work on to improve your character, skills, abili.

Personal essay.
School years are the actual time when we suppose to prepare for our future, understand what do we want in life and it has to help us achieve required goals and be prepared for our future challenges. On the other hand, school subjects that we actually study at school or even in the first year of university are hardly relatable to our future. Geometry, algebra and music lessons are in most case scenarios will not be helpful at the first day of job. Thus, that’s what actually happens to the best of us, including myself, we never feel actually prepared.
I do have a career path I decided and see myself as a knowledgeable person. However, it might be the thrill of your first job or not having enough experience that we do not receive during the educational process, but you never feel prepared for your first job. You learn everything on the spot.
However, what education actually does is that it teaches us how to think and solve problems, maybe not the specific ones, but because of it we know how to approach the problem for the start.
To actually develop your working skills afterwords you can do multiple things : taking language courses, consulting your advisors or even continuing further educating by yourself. However, the most helpful thing will still be the time since we grow and we learn with it.

My flat is beautiful and sunny. It has got five rooms. They are two bathrooms, a kitchen, a bedroom and a living room. The living room is big and cosy. There is a big TV, a sofa and two armchairs in it. My mum and I love sitting there watching TV.
My favourite room is a bedroom. It is smaller than the living room. But it is my favourite place because it is warm and comfortable. There is a bed and two cupboards. My bed is red. It looks like a real car. You can see a computer and a small TV in my bedroom. The room has got an aquarium. There are a lot of exotic fish in it. Every day I feed my fish and my mum helps me to clean my room. I like doing homework and playing in my room.

You have recived a letter from your English-speaking pen friend, Ted.
Write him a letter and answer 3 questions. (100-120 words).
As you know I am worried about my exams and I often get nervous when I think about possible mistakes I can make. How can you characterize your feelings related to exams? Have you ever taken any exams and if yes, when? What do you think is the best way to calm down?

Dear Ted,
Don’t worry about your exams! You’ve been preparing for them all year and I’m sure you will be able to pass them. And Excessive worry can only lead to additional mistakes. Leave time for breaks. It’s important to stop once in a while to allow your brain to rest. Get up, walk around or give yourself a good stretch.
As for me, I take Cambridge International Exams every year and there are important exams at school too. I try to feel calm and concentrated. I review all and also I take few hours for myself. So I feel much relaxed. Having a good night’s sleep is also very important, but there is no need to go to bed earlier than usual if you aren’t tired. You don’t want to get nervous in your bed because you can’t sleep. Once in bed, try to keep your mind off your exams. Think about something relaxing, such as your next holiday, or about a happy memory.
To calm down you need a cooling-down period. Listen to some music or read a book. Don’t call a friend to talk about the exams. It will only stress you.
Good luck!
Write me after your exams

1. How many Earth’s resources do people consume nowadays? What are they?
2. What is the result of this consumption?
3. What are the most reasonable ways of solving the problem of ravening resources?
Earth suffers as we gobble up resources
ALMOST one-quarter of nature’s resources are being gobbled up by a single species, and it’s not difficult to guess which one. Based on figures for the year 2000, the most recent available, humans appropriate 24 per cent of the Earth’s production capacity that would otherwise have gone to nature.
The result is a gradual depletion of species and habitats as we take more of their resources for ourselves. Things could get even worse if we grow more plants like palm oil and rapeseed for biofuels to ease our reliance on fossil fuels.
That is the message from a team led by Helmut Haberl of Klagenfurt University in Vienna, Austria. Haberl and colleagues analysed UN Food and Agriculture Organization data on agricultural land use in 161 countries covering 97,4 per cent of farmland. By comparing carbon consumption through human activity with the amount of carbon consumed overall, Haberl’s team found that humans use some 15. 6 trillion kilograms of carbon annually. Half was soaked up by growing crops. Another 7 per cent went up in smoke as fires lit by humans, and the rest was used up in a variety of other ways "Things could get even worse if we grow more plants like palm oil and rapeseed for biofuels to ease our reliance on fossil fuels" related to industrialisation, such as transport [Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences].
Haberl says that the Earth can just about cope if we meet future needs by producing food more efficiently. This could be done by intensifying agriculture on roughly the same amount of land as we use now. But we’re asking for trouble, he says, if we expand production of biofuels, as the only fertile land available is tropical rainforests.
"If we want full-scale replacement of fossil fuels by biofuels, this would have dramatic implications for ecosystems," says Haberl. He warns that some projections foresee four or fivefold increases in biofuel production. "This would at least double the overall amount of biomass harvested, which is about 30 per cent above ground at present, but would increase to 40 or 50 per cent to meet these biofuel targets," he says.
This would mean clearing what remains of the world’s rainforests in countries such as Brazil and Argentina. As well as wiping out thousands of species, this would have devastating effects on the climate, he says. Unlike farmland, forests help to seed rainfall because they have high evaporation rates.
"The less evaporation there is, the less rainfall there is and the whole system dries up," he says. Andy Coghlan
