Центральный государственный музей Республики Казахстан является одним из старейших и крупнейших музеев не только Казахстана, но и всего Центрально-Азиатского региона. Фондовые коллекции музея насчитывают около 300 тысяч единиц хранения. В настоящее время в музее функционируют семь основных стационарных экспозиционных залов, разнохарактерные коллекции которых позволяют получить наглядное представление не только о палеонтологическом прошлом, но и о древней, средневековой, новой и современной истории и культурном наследии Казахстана.
   Начало созданию музейных коллекций было положено в 30-х гг. ХIХ столетия в г. Оренбурге, где при Неплюевском военном училище был организован «Музеум Оренбургского края». Одним из его организаторов был известный языковед, автор «Толкового Словаря русского языка» Владимир Даль. В основу фондов музея в разные годы вошли коллекции не только музея Оренбургского края (1924 г. ), но и Жетысуйского (Семиреченского) областного музея (1929 г. ) и республиканского антирелигиозного музея (1941 г. ). Музей размещался в здании Вознесенского Кафедрального собора, являющегося уникальным архитектурным комплексом г. Алма-Аты, построенным в 1904-1907 гг. По проекту известного верненского архитектора А. П. Зенкова.
The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the oldest and largest museums of not only Kazakhstan, but the entire Central Asian region. The museum’s collections hold about 300 thousand items of storage. Currently, there are seven main permanent exhibition halls in the museum, the various collections of which allow one to get a visual representation not only of the paleontological past, but also of the ancient, medieval, new and modern history and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
The beginning of the creation of museum collections was laid in the 30’s. Nineteenth century in Orenburg, where the "Museum of the Orenburg Region" was organized under the Neplyuevskoye Military School. One of its organizers was the famous linguist, the author of the "Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian Language" Vladimir Dal. The museum’s collections in different years included collections not only of the museum of the Orenburg region (1924), but also of the Zhetysusky (Semirechensk) regional museum (1929) and the republican anti-religious museum (1941). The museum was located in the building of the Ascension Cathedral, which is a unique architectural complex of the city of Alma-Ata, built in 1904-1907. according to the project of the famous Verhny architect AP Zenkov.

I want to tell you about one of the Russian holidays about Maslenitca. It comes at the end of February at the beginning of March. On this holiday people cook pancakes, dance folk dances, sing folk songs and burn a scarecrow. In Russian cities you can find many areas there celebrate this holidays. There’s you can find many entertainment and restaurants there you can taste many different pancakes. This holiday celebrate in all the organizations of Russia. For example in the school there I studied was competition between classes. Each class prepares a dance or a song and each pupil brings pancakes, jam or other sauce. Class decorate the table with pancakes, show performance. After that determine the winners. And everyone starts to dance and eat pancakes. This is very cheerful holiday.
