My name is Diana and I’m 15 years old. I’m a high school student from Moscow. I’d like to tell you about one ridiculous situation that happened to me a few weeks ago. I’m sure everyone has experienced being in a funny situation at least once in their life. I’m not different from the rest. Such cases happened to me as well. One situation that has occurred to me recently was connected with my poor memory and absent-mindedness. I often forget people’s names and I’m not good at remembering faces. For that reason, when I see someone waving me hello, I kindly welcome them too. Once, this peculiarity played an evil trick on me. I was walking in the park with some friends when a girl ran up to me and started talking. She asked me how the things were going. Without even getting an answer or appropriate reaction she started telling me a story about some friends, who she thought were mutual. I should admit I was a bit confused. The worst thing was that I frantically tried to remember where we met. This ridiculous situation was resolved when she called me Emma. I instantly understood that she mistook me for my older sister. Emma is only two years older than me and many people say we look alike. The situation was absolutely ridiculous. I didn’t know how to behave. Luckily, my sister arrived at the moment I wanted to explain the case. The girl’s name was Lana and she really knew my sister. When she realized her mistake, she started apologizing and that felt weird. In fact, I think I should learn to be more attentive to people I meet.
