The heat treatment of steel after its formation is rather important.
The treatment of steel is now an elaborate science of its own, and it is, of course, closely connected with the contents of the steel. Spectroscopic or chemical analysis, X-ray examination, and magnetic or electrical tests may be applied. Specimens are also subjected to physical tests for toughness, strength, and hardness.

A lot of subcultures were appearing in former USSR members right after the breakup of the USSR. There were a lot of them. For example, hippies, gopniks, rockers or etc. I want to tell you about the hippies. I don’t know why, but I favor them the most.
Hippies were in USSR since early sixties. They wore torn jeans, string bracelets (fer-nee-chkee in Russian) and bandanas on their heads. Hippies had long entangled hair and grubby clothing. They were fond of love and pacifizm, they absolutely loved freedom, even in taking drugs. They have used a lot of slang-phrases. For example, "girla" or "ppl". They created communes for living together. They travelled using pass-by cars and had earned money by begging or playing on music instruments.
I do not appreciate any of these informal communes and I do not want to become a person like them. I just want to be unique like all other people.

My hometown is Manchester. Manchester is situated in the northwest of
England in the county of Greater Manchester. It is the second largest city
with a population of more than 400,000 people.
Though Manchester is not as large as London it has got many good aspects of a modern city. We’ve got many theatres, art galleries, concert halls and museums,
for example the city Art Gallery and the and Museum of Science and industry others. We are proud of our airport which is the third busiest airport in the
UK. with it it is very easy to travel to and from Manchester and through the
countryside. And our tram system Metrolink, which runs through city streets, is clean, quick and quiet.
There are a lot of things to do, visitors can, for example, visit famous places, walk in the park, enjoy shopping or listen to our traditional music and watch folk dances. Our G-Mex Centre is a popular place. However, it was created from an old
railway station. Different exhibitions, concerts and sporting events take place there. In our Chinatown there are many cafés and small shops. There is also a large mall and several big shops and markets with traditional food and nice goods.
Sports, especially football and rugby are very popular in our city. Manchester has got many sports clubs. People like playing or watching sports here.
In my city there are a lot of monuments to famous people. For example, the
Alan Turing* Memorial honours the father of modern computing. There is also a
monument to Abraham Lincoln* and a statue to Queen victoria.* We are very proud that great scientists and Nobel Prize* winners such as Joule* and
Rutherford* worked in Manchester.
I like my hometown. It is a great city. It is always clean. The people are friendly and welcoming.
