Every year schoolchildren have their winter holidays. They usually last for 2 weeks: from the New Year’s Day till the 12th of January. I am sure that all of us look forward to this time because it’s a great chance not to get up early and to do what we want. As for me I always sleep till 9 a. m. during my winter holidays. Then I turn on my TV and lie in my bed for another hour.
Winter holidays are even more exciting because we celebrate New Year and Christmas. Our mood is joyful. The whole atmosphere is full of magic. People exchange presents, decorate their homes, cook delicious food, visit each other and have parties.
If the weather is cold I prefer to stay at home or visit my friends. They can also come to my place. We play computer games, surf the Internet or watch TV. The programmes on TV are really interesting during our holidays, so we watch plenty of cool films. In warm weather we go to the cinema or a café, play ice-hockey or go skiing to the park. Hockey and skiing are my hobbies. We can even play snowballs and make funny snowmen.
In the evening my mother often asks me to help her about the house. My duty is washing up, watering plants and taking the rubbish out. As I don’t have to get up early during my holidays my parents allow me to watch TV and read books till midnight.
I enjoy my winter holidays. It’s a nice time to relax and take a short rest from my studies. It’s a pity that winter holidays always pass so quickly.

How I spent summer holidays
Summer is my favorite season. Summer holidays give the longest rest from studying of the year that’s why I like them so much.
In June I stayed at home and my parents were at work. But I was glad because at last I had time for myself. I read books, listened to music, watched films and visited my friend. I spend most days outdoors and got a nice sun tan.
Then I spent two weeks in the summer camp on the seaside. It was a real fun. I met a lot of new friends. Every day we enjoyed something special - games, carnivals, competitions, performances. We went to the seaside twice a day. There we swam, bathed in the sun, played volleyball on the beach, made sculptures of sand. We had discos every night, but not too long. I guess, those were the most exciting weeks of the summer. It gave me bright impressions, lots of funny photos and some new friends.
Then my parents were on vacation and so they took me to my parent’s place in the village. It’s a very picturesque place with a forest and a river nearby. I was happy to see my grandmother and grandfather. I spent hot days on the riverbank. Once we went hiking with my parents, made fire, gathered some berries. The summer forest is very beautiful. In the evening I usually helped in the garden.
Last month of the summer I was at home again, having rest from such an intensive rest! I did usual things and prepared for school. I like my summer holidays!

There I brush my teeth and wash one’s my face. At 7:30 o’clock I’m ready to have breakfast. Usually I have no time to cook my breakfast, so I just have a cup of tea and maybe a bowl of cereal. Sometimes I can oversleep and not have time to have breakfast
I leave home at 7:40. My college is away from house and it usually takes me 30 minutes to get there. My classes begin at 8. 30 a. m. and finish at about 3 p. m. At 11. 05 I usually go to our canteen and buy something to eat.
When my classes are finished I return home. Then I cook my dinner or warm it up. After hard work at college I feel like having a rest. After dinner I usually go out with my friends or go in for sports. In addition, I play computer games and shoot video games on my YouTube channel. I do not always play the same game. But usually I play Minecraft or in the shooter game Battle Carnival. Then I do my homework for the next school day. It takes me about 4 hours.
